The GUARANTEE
Because of our thorough knowledge of the State's underground storage tank (UST) regulations and Trust Fund policies, and our low overhead expenses, Cedar Rock can offer to tank owners, who are eligible for reimbursement from the Trust Fund, a
guarantee most environmental consultants are afraid to, and/or are unable to, offer.
The CO-PAY Plan
BEWARE OF "LOW-BALL" PRICE QUOTES!!!
Cedar Rock will complete all necessary, reimbursable tasks authorized by the State to remove a UST and any associated contaminated soils, and additional assessment activities as required, in an effort to obtain closure of the related release incident. Cedar Rock will invoice only for the amounts allowed by the Trust Fund for work deemed necessary by the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Division of Waste Management regional offices to complete each stage of assessment and site cleanup.

Reimbursement is typically received within 6 to 8 months of submitting a claim.
100% Reimbursement of Costs Related to the Environmental Assessment and Cleanup of Leakage from a UST
Because the environmental assessment and cleanup costs associated with removing a UST are typically out of many tank owners' affordability comfort zone, the Trust Fund has established a "co-payment" plan, whereby Cedar Rock bills the State for all reimbursable tasks. Under the Co-Pay Plan, the tank owner's only out-of-pocket expenses (non-reimbursables) include the cost of removing the UST and disposing of the UST and tank contents, and loading of contaminated soils for off-site disposal. These non-reimbursable expenses typically average about $2,300, if done according to State and local regulations and guidelines.

Removal of a single 270 to 1,000 gallon UST: includes disposal of tank, disposal of fluids at a permitted facility (a minimal volume of fluids will be generated from cleaning out the sludge; includes vacuum truck mobilization), and loading of excavated contaminated soils for off-site disposal...

AVERAGE TOTAL NON-REIMBURSABLE COST - $2,300.00
Site supervision, project management, excavation and disposal of contaminated soils (maximum volume currently allowed for initial abatement is 50 tons), backfill, soil sampling and laboratory analyses, tank closure report, reimbursement claims package preparation...

TOTAL REIMBURSABLE COST (determined by Trust Fund rates) - $9,300.00
Trust Fund reimbursable rates do not allow for a markup of third-party costs. Cedar Rock does not make a dime on the excavation and disposal of the UST, fluids, and soils, nor on the analysis of the soil samples. Our portion of the quoted total reimbursable cost is derived from project management, site supervision, and report prepartation (regulatory compliance tasks).
